A Celebration honoring the incoming class takes place Sunday, September 25
Mayor Steve Bach invites the public to attend the celebration of the incoming class of the Mayor's 100 Teens on Sunday, September 25 at the Historic City Auditorium (221 E. Kiowa St.) from 4 - 6 p.m.
Now in its 14th year, the Mayor's 100 Teens has recognized over 1,300 local teens and their accomplishments. The program honors teenagers who have demonstrated a commitment to volunteerism, leadership, and academic success and who have overcome adversity or achieved a significant accomplishment. The theme of this year's class is No Limits.
"These teens show us that adversity does not have to limit the impact we can make on our families, our communities, or even the world," says Mayor Steve Bach.
As Mayor's 100 Teens, laureates will have their bios published in a commemorative booklet, be formally introduced at a City Council meeting, and participate in a variety of community celebrations and community service projects throughout the year.
For more information, contact Program Coordinator Jody Derington at (719) 385-6857 (office) or (719) 238-3224 (day of cell #).
