Sean Paige
Councilmember District 3

Sean Paige

When not engaged in City Council business, Sean Paige serves as executive director of two Colorado Springs policy groups, the Limited Government Forum and Local Liberty Action. He's the editor of Local Liberty Online.org, a website focused on the fight for freedom in America's backyard, where he also writes the "Page by Paige" blog.

Paige served for 5 years as editorial page editor at The Colorado Springs Gazette, where he vigorously championed the paper's libertarian editorial philosophy. That followed 14 years in Washington, D.C., where he worked in politics, journalism and think tanks. He's a former spokesman for Citizens Against Government Waste, a taxpayer advocacy group; a former reporter and columnist for Insight, a one-time news weekly at The Washington Times; and he was the Warren Brookes Fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute in the year 2000. His foothold in Washington came courtesy of a National Journalism Center internship in 1988. He holds a degree in English from Arizona State University. Paige grew up not far from Detroit Michigan, where he spent 2 years working on the assembly lines. His writing has appeared in some of America's top newspapers and periodicals.

He is married to Pamela Paige and has 2 step-children, John and Sara.
