| The Colorado State University and the Governor's Energy Office are holding a free clean energy teacher training in El Paso County from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on July 25 (lunch provided).
Funded by the Governor's Energy Office and the U.S. Department of Energy, CSU Extension is offering training on a new clean energy curriculum for middle and high school science, technology, engineering, and math teachers as well as informal environmental educators. The curriculum is tied to the Colorado Academic Standards for science.
The training features:
- Hands-on, Colorado-specific lesson plans on energy efficiency and renewable energy
Free energy kits worth $300 and a curriculum for each attending teacher
Interactive presentation on the teacher primer
