Learn what's new in the world of Colorado Springs recycling...
- City Sustainability Coordinator Carrie McCausland will share what's new with the City's new waste contract, employee survey results, Adopt-a-bin recycling program results, and review facilities maintenance contracts. This is also a chance for other organizations to see how they can enhance recycling opportunities.
- Waste Connections Sales Coordinator Ashley Mays will share a new program that rewards residents for recycling - the more you recycle the more you earn in rewards to local businesses.
- Everyone knows what can and can't be recycled... right? Maybe not. We'll go over some of the surprising and less common items that you may, or may not, be recycling correctly.
- This is also one of many opportunities to provide your feedback regarding the City Environmental Sustainability Plan that is currently under way.
Attendees are encouraged to bring and enjoy their lunches during the presentation. Those who attend have the opportunity to win a door prize tote bag made from recycled downtown banners as a demonstration project (pictured). | | Starts: | 12:11 PM | | Ends: | 12:39 PM | | Location: | City Administration Building, Suite 102 30 S Nevada Ave, Suite 102 Colorado Springs, CO 80903 | | |
