Where: Monument Creek North of Uintah to Fontanero
What: Adopt-A-Waterway and Recycle Event over the lunch hour
How: Carpool, Bike, Walk, Run, Helium balloon?
Why: Burgers, Brats, Fun and Sun?and beautifying our watershed
Pack some shorts, sturdy shoes and your appetite! Let?s show community partnership and demonstrate how so many are working together to make our community a more beautiful place?with an important, conservation twist... we'll recycle what we clean up.This stretch of waterway is a highly visible section of the Pikes Peak Greenway Trail on the east side of Monument Creek north of Uintah extending to where Fontanero would cross. The goal of this adoption is partnership to beautify this section of waterway?a story that can be shared by all groups who participate as a hands-on example of how we all care. We?re hoping to have a final head count (with waivers in hand) by Aug. 20. We?d like to have 50 volunteers from teams, organizations, citizens and companies to make this event a statement to our community. We will provide food and cleanup tools while you will pick up the trash littering the creak through this area.
