Colorado Springs, Colo. - The City of Colorado Springs will host a public open house to review and present the final plans for the construction of Woodmen Road, Phase 2, from Academy Boulevard to Lexington Drive and to discuss construction aspects. The project includes widening to 3 lanes in each direction, a Continuous Flow Intersection (CFI) at the intersection of Woodmen Road and Union Boulevard, access changes, and landscaping, among other items.
The City encourages citizens to attend the public meeting to learn about and discuss the upcoming changes along Woodmen Road. Further information, including a video explaining how the CFI at Woodmen Road and Union Boulevard will function, can be found at www.woodmenroad.com.

The Pikes Peak Rural Transportation Authority (PPRTA) was formed when voters in Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs, Green Mountain Falls, and El Paso County approved a one percent sales tax in November of 2004 to address infrastructure and transit needs in the region.
