Help Fire Station 1 NOT pave paradise and NOT put in a parking lot. On Wednesday, July 18 Fire Station 1 needs your help planting about 50 xeric shrubs and perennials. This downtown location was slated for concrete, but we’re happy to say with your help it will create a vibrant, “cooling” part of downtown. We’ll provide the happy hour moctails and munchies from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. (Drop-in any time.) Fire Station 1 will provide the plants and some equipment. Meet at the corner of S. Weber and Colorado Ave and bring a shovel and gloves if you have them!
