CHAP, Comprehensive Homeless Assistance Providers
CHAP is a task force formed by the Housing & Community Development Division to meet HUD requirements.
The CHAP Taskforce is an open and flexible forum for service providers and community participants to work together to meet community needs through the following:
- Networking
- Coordination of Services
- Mutual Support
- Grants
- Formal Support for Projects
- Project Review
- Refine Proposals
- Mutual Support for City and Community Approval
- Voice to the City, County, and State Governments
- Identify Community Needs and Priorities
- Develop programs to address identified needs
- Work towards resolution of identified issues
- Develop and Awareness of Issues - What's Happening in the Community
- More than Just Homeless Issues
- Housing in General for Persons in Jeopardy of Becoming Homeless
- Low-Income Affordable Housing
- Other Service Providers
- Support Services
- Policy Review
- Education and Information
- Recommendation
