Colorado Springs Airport Announces Master Plan Update Open House

Colorado Springs, Colo. (July 30, 2013)

On Thursday, August 1st, 2013, an Airport Master Plan Update Public Open House will be held at the Colorado Springs Airport from 4:00pm - 7:00pm. As this Master Plan Update process draws to a close, the Airport would like to invite all interested individuals to learn about the Master Plan findings and recommendations for proposed future improvements. Airport management, the Airport's Master Plan consultant, LeighFisher, and representatives from the Federal Aviation Administration will be available to answer questions.

The Master Plan Update has followed a process prescribed by the Federal Aviation Administration to inventory the current Airport facility, forecast aviation activity, and accordingly plan for infrastructure improvements to enhance safety, efficiency, and customer service. Although Airport Master Plans are revisited and updated every 8-10 years, this document will serve as a road map for development for the next 20-plus years.

Those interested in learning more about the Master Plan Public Open House may visit www.flyCOS.com and click on the Master Plan Update Open House button. The Open House will be held in the Airport's East Unit Terminal.

For additional information, contact Neil Ralston at 719-550-1918.
