Colorado Springs, Colo. (January 8, 2010)
Today at 11:30 a.m. Flight #39, a Boeing 737 with 132 passenger and crew on board, enroute from Atlanta to San Francisco diverted to Colorado Springs Airport. On board was an intoxicated passenger that was disruptive and locked himself in a bathroom. The captain made the decision to divert to Colorado Springs Airport to have the passenger removed from the aircraft. Upon arriving at Colorado Springs Airport the aircraft was met by the Colorado Springs Police Department Airport Unit. The passenger was removed and is being detained by law enforcement.
