Kids going back to school? Try a Schoolpool!
Metro Rides’Schoolpool Program is designed to help parents get their children to and from school using either a carpool, walkpool or bikepool. It reduces traffic congestion, reduces air pollution, saves time, saves money, and helps families solve transportation challenges. Schoolpool participants are matched with other parents who have children going to the same school and who live in the same neighborhood. Many different arrangements can be made. Some parents split driving/walking/biking duties and others pay parents to take their children to and from school, depending on what works best for those involved. Metro Rides does not charge to match schoolpool participants. Call 385-7433, option #2, and they will enter your information into their database, run a match, and give you the names and phone numbers of other parents with matching criteria interested in a schoolpool.
