Community in Action volunteer clean up project

Downtown Partnership in conjunction with local businesses and residents, will be volunteering time to help clean up sections of Colorado Springs on September 18 from 7:30 to 10 a.m. In an act of civic pride Colorado Springs residents will be pulling weeds, cleaning sidewalks and other general cleaning duties throughout over fourteen blocks of downtown Colorado Springs. Volunteers are needed to help beautify downtown city blocks. Block Captains are also needed to be a lead for each section.  Local businesses Bestway Disposal, Landscape Enterprises, Concept Restaurants, Regina's Unique Boutique Downtown, Phancy Pheasant and Sonterra Grill have donated time and materials to help make this day of beautification possible. Other local businesses, community groups and residents are also encouraged to take a morning and clean-up their own areas. To learn more about Community In Action and to sign up as a volunteer click here.
